Introducing the Smartphone Free Childhood Movement Playbook (aka our secret masterplan to reclaim childhood)

Our new Movement Playbook sets out what we believe, how we think change happens and our plan to win childhood back for children everywhere. If you've ever wondered how a movement that started in one WhatsApp group got this far, it's all written down here.
Every movement needs a plan. This is ours.
The Movement Playbook puts everything SFC stands for in one place: what we believe, how we show up and how we think we'll reach our goal.
It starts with one simple idea. Childhood belongs to children, not to the commercial interests of technology companies.
Families didn't choose for childhood to change this fast. It just did. And it's very hard for one family to step off on their own.
So we're not asking parents to try harder. We're bringing families together so they can change things for themselves and their communities.
Inside you'll find our five-year goal: helping families reclaim five billion hours of childhood for friendship, play, sleep and independence. You'll also find the five ways we're going after it, from backing parents and schools to pushing for better policy.
As the movement grows, the playbook gives all of us a shared north star to come back to when we're deciding what to do next.
Most of all, it reflects what Regional Leaders, local groups and families across the movement are already making happen in their communities every day.
If that's you, you'll recognise yourself in it.Have a read. Then pass it on. We built it to travel.
