Grassroots network lead
Be the force behind local change
SFC is a powerful network of about 80 regions around the UK.
The SFC Grassroot Network Leads are the super-connectors that bring it all together at a regional level.
Regional Leaders are the incredible people who have stepped up beyond their own school, to drive change across their local area.
Grassroot Network Leads are active across the whole region. You’ll be connecting and recruiting Regional Leaders, engaging local influencers and being a figurehead for the movement where you are.
Why be an SFC Grassroots Network Lead?
- Be a catalyst for change – inspire and connect local communities to create a movement that helps children grow up smartphone-free.
- Empower others to lead – support and mentor Regional Leaders so they can build strong, confident networks of parents and schools in their own areas.
- Shape regional culture and policy – engage councils, MPs, and headteachers to make it easier for families to wait before giving kids smartphones or social media.
- Bring energy where it’s needed most – spark momentum in quieter areas and help every part of your region feel part of the movement.
- Lead with purpose and vision – play a key role in a growing national movement, knowing your leadership is protecting childhood for thousands of families.

What you could do
- Recruit, support and coordinate Regional Leaders across your region, helping them to thrive.

The difference you’ll make

Be one of the key leaders who spreads the movement region-wide, creating the conditions for children to grow up smartphone-free.

Help more schools reach the Breakthrough Point — where 25% of families sign the Parent Pact and peer pressure flips in favour of waiting.

Encourage school leaders and local authorities to adopt policies that give parents the backing they need to delay smartphones and social media.

Create a thriving network of Regional Leaders and School Organisers who feel supported and confident to act.

Change starts with all of us
You don’t need to be an expert to get involved in SFC in your community. We’re just looking for people willing to stand with us and say: this matters.
This is how big change starts: locally, organically, together.
