Celebrating 100,000 Parent Pacts (with a few famous parents)

[.style-intro]Six months ago, we launched the Parent Pact to help families stand strong together and say: childhood is too short to be spent on a smartphone. Now, over 100,000 parents have joined – and some well-known names too. It’s a powerful reminder that none of us are alone in this. A movement to protect childhood is growing – and it’s only just getting started.[.style-intro]

A simple idea, a powerful shift

The idea behind the Parent Pact is a simple one: delaying smartphones becomes a million times easier when we do it together.

Parents across the country seem to agree, because just six months since we launched the Pact we’ve hit an incredible milestone: 100,000 Pacts signed!

From every corner of the UK, and at 40% of schools in the country, families are joining forces to wait until at least 14 before handing over a smartphone and 16 for social media. And as the movement grows, so does the confidence to push back against a culture that says kids need smartphones as soon as they hit Year 7.

Famous families join the Pact

A host of celebrities has also signed up to celebrate the 100k milestone, including:

  • Joe Wicks
  • Benedict Cumberbatch
  • Paloma Faith
  • Jamie Redknapp
  • Aisling Bea
  • Zack George aka Steel from Gladiators
  • Sara Pascoe
  • Nathalie Cassidy
  • Dr Chris van Tulleken
  • Rachel Stevens
  • Myleene Klass
  • Emma Barnett
  • Sara Davies MBE
  • Kate Silverton
  • Sophie Hunter
  • Louise Boyce aka Mama Still Got It
  • Jamelia
  • Poppy Okotcha
  • Anna Jones
  • Dr Zoe Williams
  • Meera Sodha
  • Anna Whitehouse aka Mother Pukka
  • Rachel Ama
  • Joeli Brierly, founder Pregnant then Screwed
  • Lucy Jones
  • Liz Earle MBE
  • Anna Mathur

Just like us, they want childhood to be about growth, curiosity and connection, not constant comparison, notifications and distraction. And their voices matter – not just because of their reach, but because they normalise the idea of delaying smartphones and social media for everyone.

Real change is happening

We never imagined we’d reach 100,000 this fast. The pace of growth of this movement still blows our minds. It goes to show just how many families are ready to say enough is enough. To stand together and say that childhood should be shaped by parental and community values, not by Silicon Valley.

Thank you to every single person who’s signed, shared or supported the Pact so far. You’re changing childhoods – for your kids and far beyond.

Next stop, 1,000,000 Pacts. Let’s go!
