Donation FAQs

Why does SFC need donations?

Smartphone Free Childhood relies on donations from passionate supporters to grow this movement. Every pound we receive goes directly towards creating resources, content and campaigns, supporting volunteers, strengthening our infrastructure and spreading the message far and wide.

Are you a registered charity?

We operate as a charitable fund under Prism the Gift Fund (UK charity no. 1099682). That means your donation is treated just like one to a registered charity: it’s fully eligible for Gift Aid, and benefits from strong financial oversight. Prism takes no commission on donations to Smartphone Free Childhood – 100% of your gift supports our mission. Learn more about our charitable structure.

Is my donation eligible for Gift Aid?

Yes. As part of Prism the Gift Fund, we can claim Gift Aid on eligible donations – increasing your gift by 25% at no extra cost to you.

How will I know my donation has reached you?

You’ll receive a confirmation email as soon as your donation is received – usually within a few minutes.

Should I give monthly or as a one-off?

Both make a difference. One-off gifts are brilliant – but monthly donations are especially powerful. They help us plan ahead, grow sustainably and keep building momentum over time.

Can I change or cancel my monthly donation?

Yes – at any time. You’re in control. You can change, pause or cancel your monthly gift whenever you need to.

Is my payment secure?

Absolutely. All donations are processed securely by iRaiser, our trusted donation platform who process donations for hundreds of charities worldwide. Your personal information is safe and fully protected.

Can I donate from outside the UK?

Yes – our platform accepts donations in multiple currencies. If you don’t see your currency listed, drop us a line at donate@smartphonefreechildhood.org and we’ll help.

I’ve got a question about my donation – who can I contact?

We’re here to help. Just email us at donate@smartphonefreechildhood.org and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
